The Drive Coffee - Drive Brew System (DBS) 1
We started with the world's best coffee maker, the Technivorm Moccamaster, and made it better.
Made by hand in the Netherlands, the Technivorm Moccamaster is known for being one of the few machines certified by the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association ) and ECBC (European Coffee Brewing Center) for coffee brewing standards. It can brew a full 40oz pot of coffee in six minutes. Coffee is then held on the unique hot plate which is engineered with a separate, independent element that rolls heat into the coffee to ensure an even taste from the first cup to the last drop. The hot plate has two settings, giving you the choice to hold your coffee at 175° or 185° F, while never burning the coffee.
A true art piece, each machine is disassembled, carefully prepped, and then finished with multiple layers of automotive paint and clear coat to achieve a true automotive finish, worthy of the concours lawn. The entire process is done by hand, by skilled artists typically accustomed to work on show cars and custom motorcycles. The machine is a true art piece that is sure to take your kitchen, office, garage, or workshop to the next level, a serve as a conversation piece for years to come.
This edition was inspired by the 1967 McLaren M6A. It was once said, the McLaren M6A “was not the beginning of the McLaren story, but it is the origin of The Legend”. The historical significance of this McLaren cannot be overemphasized. It was the first monocoque vehicle constructed by McLaren, nearly a Formula 1 car with a body. In fact the car set a lap time around Mosport Park that was 1.6 seconds faster than Jim Clark had set in his Lotus F1 car. The M6A was also the first McLaren to sport the now famous McLaren “Papaya” Orange. The cars dominated the 1967 CanAm season with a 1-2 finish for Bruce McLaren (#4) and Denny Hulme (#5) in 6 of 7 races, which resulted in the nickname of “The Bruce and Denny Show”, and a 1-2 finish overall for the drivers that season.
Care and Longevity - With proper care, each machine should last many years. Care for the finish as you would a special car, using premium automotive detailing supplies. We recommend an automotive wax base coat 1-2x per year to protect from water spots, stains, and splashes, and using a high quality waterless wash and detail spray for regular cleaning.
