The Drive Coffee - Drive Brew System (DBS) 1
We started with the world's best coffee maker, the Technivorm Moccamaster, and made it better.
Made by hand in the Netherlands, the Technivorm Moccamaster is known for being one of the few machines certified by the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association ) and ECBC (European Coffee Brewing Center) for coffee brewing standards. It can brew a full 40oz pot of coffee in six minutes. Coffee is then held on the unique hot plate which is engineered with a separate, independent element that rolls heat into the coffee to ensure an even taste from the first cup to the last drop. The hot plate has two settings, giving you the choice to hold your coffee at 175° or 185° F, while never burning the coffee.
A true art piece, each machine is disassembled, carefully prepped, and then finished with multiple layers of automotive paint and clear coat to achieve a true automotive finish, worthy of the Concours lawn. The entire process is done by hand, by skilled artists typically accustomed to work on show cars and custom motorcycles. The machine is a true art piece that is sure to take your kitchen, office, garage, or workshop to the next level, a serve as a conversation piece for years to come.
This particular livery was inspired by The 1988 McLaren MP4/4, one of the greatest Formula 1 car designs of all time and a car of seemingly never ending superlatives. The Honda powered MP4/4 was in fact the most dominant Formula One car ever built, winning all but one race, and claiming all but one pole position in the 1988 season. It’s winning percentage of 93.8% was the highest ever. In fact there were only 27 laps the entire season where the MP4/4 was not running in 1st place. In addition to it’s brilliant design, the car also raced the 1988 season with two of the greatest drivers in history, Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna, on the same team. It was also the first Formula 1 car to feature the “reclined” driving position that soon became standard in every Formula 1 car.
Care and Longevity - With proper care, each machine should last many years. Care for the finish as you would a special car, using premium automotive detailing supplies. Use an automotive wax base coat 1-2x per year to protect from water spots, stains, and splashes, and use a high-quality waterless wash and detail spray for regular cleaning.
